Ecton Church on the radio
The American connection with Ecton church was discussed on BBC Radio Northampton on 4th June 2019.
Benjamin Franklin visited the village in 1758 in search of his family roots. His Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather all lived in the village and his Aunt and Uncle are buried in the churchyard. There is also a bronze plaque commemorating his visit in the church.
We welcome many visitors to the church, including American tourists, some with links to Franklin themselves, and we are always happy to open the church and show people around.
New prayer initiative has begun, praying for the people of our benefice.
Please see the Prayer Page for more information.
